Remembering & Rebuilding: A 9/11 Fundraiser with the D.A.R. & American Legion Post 90

Writer: Jeffery J. McKennaJeffery J. McKenna

On September 11, 2020, I had the privilege of joining the Color Country Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) and American Legion Post 90 for a special fundraiser honoring our nation’s heroes. In a year filled with uncertainty and challenges, this event served as a powerful reminder of resilience, patriotism, and community spirit.

Through my book, Saving Dr. Warren: A True Patriot, we raised funds to support local veterans and honor the sacrifices of those who have served, past and present. It was moving to see people come together—sharing stories, remembering those lost, and finding strength in our shared history.

Even in difficult times, patriotism and unity shine through. Thank you to the D.A.R., American Legion Post 90, and everyone who participated in making this event a success. It was a much-needed boost for our community and a reminder that, no matter what, we stand together. 🇺🇸
