What an incredible honor it was to be part of the Daughters of the American Revolution Southern Joint Chapters Luncheon in Las Vegas. The event was filled with inspiring conversation, shared purpose, and a deep love for our nation’s history, truly a celebration of the DAR’s mission to Illuminate Our Legacy.
From the moment I walked into the ballroom, I was struck by the warmth and dedication of everyone in attendance. The women of the DAR and the bright young members of the Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) reminded me why the work of preserving our nation’s stories is so vital. Their passion for history, education, and patriotism is contagious, and I left the event feeling deeply inspired.
It was a joy to share about my novel, Saving Dr. Warren… “A True Patriot,” and to see how his story resonated with a young audiance, as well as so many who value the legacy of our nation’s founders. My hope has always been that this book would help spark curiosity and conversation about the sacrifices that shaped our freedoms, and seeing it embraced by such a dedicated group was humbling. I’m excited to share that 100% of the proceeds from book sales at this event went to support the national C.A.R. project to work with the Dr. Joseph Warren Foundation, a cause I am personally very passionate about.
Events like this remind us that history is not just something to be remembered, it’s something to be kept alive. The DAR’s work in historic preservation, education, and patriotism continues to shine a light forward, and I’m truly grateful to have partnered with such remarkable organizations.
It was an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to future opportunities to support their mission.
With gratitude,
Jeff McKenna
